Palm Coast-based artist John Schieffer was born on Long Island, New York. He got his degree in advertising art and design at SUNY Farmingdale and worked as a commercial artist doing illustrations for ad agencies and art departments in the Long Island and New York City areas.

In New York, John had a one-man gallery show and participated in a number of street art shows (as well as being an award-winning amateur filmmaker!) Nowadays John is concentrating in the fine arts with a focus on realism and impressionism.  John is accepting commissions for paintings.
